W. Stewart & Carol Thomas Endowed Scholarship in Business

Dr. William “Stewart” Thomas and Mrs. Carol Thomas establish this scholarship in support of Business and Accounting students. Dr. Thomas joined UNC Pembroke in 2001 following an 18-year career in industry, working the majority of that period for Eaton Corporation as Core Business Controller over North American and European operations. In his time at UNCP, he has served as Professor of Accounting and Finance in the School of Business and in various administrative positions from Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration to Associate Dean. Mrs. Thomas has spent the majority of her career at Eaton Corporation in various positions including Global Supply Chain Manager and Global Operations eCommerce Manager.

This scholarship shall be awarded to academically excellent students in the School of Business, who demonstrate financial need.
