American Indian Education Fund (Undergraduate)
The American Indian Education Fund (AIEF) Undergraduate Scholarship service supports educational opportunities for American Indian and Alaska Native students by awarding more than 200 scholarships annually. The AIEF also offers a free guide to help Native Americans pursue higher education.
AIEF selects students who are often overlooked by other scholarship programs. We target students with GEDs or mid-range GPAs and adult students who show the focus and determination to improve their lives and make a difference for others.
To be eligible for AIEF scholarships, students must be enrolled tribal members, have clear and attainable goals, have acceptance as a full-time student to an accredited institution and provide transcripts with GPA and ACT scores. AIEF does not select scholarship recipients on the basis of financial need. Instead, we target the “best bet” students who are likely to succeed — expanding their opportunity to access post-secondary education in tribal or non-tribal schools
