Dr. Ben Hardin Pre-Medical Endowed Scholarship

Dr. Ben Hardin was valedictorian of his high school, he attended Pembroke State College and was a student leader. While serving in the U.S. Navy he chose to pursue a medical degree and serve his Native community. He was the first Native American student to attend UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He established his practice in 1980 and served 25 years as admitting physician at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

This scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Chemistry: Pre-Medical Professions or Biology: Biomedical Emphasis. This award is renewable.
