Clifton Oxendine History Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established by family, colleagues, students and admirers to honor the late Dr. Clifton Oxendine who served UNC Pembroke from 1939 to 1970, first as Dean of the college and then as Professor Emeritus of American History. The recipient of The Clifton Oxendine Endowed Memorial Scholarship Fund shall be a full­time undergraduate majoring in American History who meets all academic requirements of the University. The award shall be equal to the full interest of the endowment not to exceed full tuition and fees. The award will be made in the fall. The number of scholarships will be based on funds available. This award is renewable based on meeting the above criteria and has priority. Any funds not disbursed will be left in the fund to accumulate for the next awarding period.
