English Education Internship Award
This award was established by colleagues and friends in honor of Virginia P. (Ginny) Jones, who served as Coordinator for Undergraduate English Education for ten years until her retirement in December 2012, and Dennis H. Sigmon, who preceded Dr. Jones as Coordinator for Undergraduate English Education and continued to work with English Education majors until his retirement in May 2014. The award is to be made in the spring semester to a senior English education major who is in need of financial assistance during her/his internship. The recipients of the English Education Internship Award will be in their senior year with a major in English education. Recipients must maintain a minimum of 2.5 QPA and be full-time undergraduate students. The award will be made in the spring semester and is not renewable. Financial need should be a consideration.
